Your local Bournemouth roofing company
Bournemouth’s housing is wonderfully varied — and so are its roofs.
Grand Victorian and Edwardian properties with natural slate and intricate leadwork sit alongside inter-war semis, post-war bungalows, purpose-built blocks of flats and a growing number of contemporary homes and extensions with flat roofs.
With two generations of roofing experience behind us, we understand how these roofs were built, how they age and what it takes to keep them watertight in a seaside town. Whether you need a leak fixed in Winton or a brand-new flat roof on an extension in Southbourne, you’ll get honest advice and careful, lasting work.

Built for Bournemouth’s coastal weather
Living by the sea brings its own challenges for a roof. Salt-laden air speeds up wear on fixings and metalwork, while strong winds off the bay test ridge tiles, verges and flat roof edges — particularly on higher and cliff-top properties around the East and West Cliff. We choose materials, fixings and details with that exposure in mind, from mechanically fixed dry ridge systems to securely fixed flat roof trims.
Flat roofs from Winton to Southbourne
Many local homes have at least one flat roof — a kitchen extension, garage, dormer or bay. Plenty of older felt roofs are now reaching the end of their lives, and we replace a lot of them with EPDM rubber or GRP flat roofing, often upgrading to a warm roof at the same time for better insulation and fewer condensation problems.
The town also has a large number of flat-roofed blocks of flats. We’re happy to work with leaseholders, freeholders, landlords and managing agents — just get in touch to arrange a survey.

Bournemouth roofing FAQs
Do you cover all of Bournemouth?
Yes — from Kinson and Throop in the north to Westbourne, Boscombe and Southbourne along the coast. If you’re anywhere in a BH postcode in town, we can help.
Can you replace the flat roof on a block of flats?
Yes. We can replace flat roofs on residential blocks and work directly with your freeholder or managing agent. Where a roof is shared, the work usually needs to be agreed with them first — we’re happy to provide a quote and specification to help.
Do I need permission to repair a roof in a conservation area?
Bournemouth has a number of conservation areas. Like-for-like repairs usually don’t need permission, but changing materials or the appearance of a roof might need consent from BCP Council. We’ll advise you and match existing materials wherever possible.
How quickly can you come out?
For quotes, we’ll arrange a visit at a time that suits you. For leaks and storm damage, call us on 01202 761960 — see our emergency roofing page for what to do in the meantime.
